Welcome to a Safe Space for Growth

The Challenges You Face

Life often presents us with overwhelming challenges. Whether you're navigating difficult emotions, struggling with relationship dynamics, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, these struggles are valid.

I provide compassionate support for adults, teens, and children to explore these challenges and find resilience.

My Therapeutic Approach

My approach is rooted in humanistic and integrative therapy, which means I see you as a whole person with unique experiences, strengths, and potential.

Together, we'll create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and genuine understanding—a space where you can explore your feelings without judgement and find your own path forward.

Session Flexibility

Whilst I believe the most powerful work happens face-to-face, I understand that life sometimes requires flexibility.

I'm happy to offer occasional online sessions to accommodate your needs.

Services

Who I Work With

Adults

Supporting you through life transitions, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and personal growth. Many adults seek therapy to find coping mechanisms for stress, process past traumas, or navigate significant life changes like career shifts or parenthood. My goal is to empower you to build a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Teenagers

Helping young people navigate identity, peer pressure, academic stress, family dynamics, and emotional wellbeing. Adolescence can be a challenging time, marked by rapid changes and intense emotions. I provide a confidential space for teenagers to explore who they are and build resilience.

Children

Using play therapy and creative approaches to help children process feelings, build confidence, and find their voice in the face of family changes, school challenges, or anxiety.

Each person I work with brings their own story, and I tailor my approach to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you're a parent concerned about your child, a teenager struggling to make sense of the world, or an adult seeking clarity and peace, I'm here to support you.

Philosophy

My Approach to Therapy

At the heart of my practice is a humanistic philosophy—the belief that you have an innate capacity for growth, healing, and self-actualisation. My role isn't to tell you what to do or fix you, but rather to provide a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences and discover your own answers.

01

Building Connection

We begin by establishing trust and safety, creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel truly heard and understood.

02

Exploring Together

Through empathetic listening and gentle guidance, we explore your feelings, patterns, and experiences at your own pace.

03

Integrating Change

As insights emerge, we work together to integrate new understandings and develop practical strategies for your daily life.

04

Growing Forward

You'll develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and the tools to navigate future challenges with confidence.

I draw from integrative therapy, which allows me to adapt different therapeutic approaches, techniques and tools to suit your unique needs. This flexibility ensures that our work together feels relevant, meaningful, and genuinely helpful for you.

Credentials

Experience & Qualifications

Professional Experience

With over 15 years of dedicated practice, I've had the honour of supporting hundreds of individuals and families through their most challenging moments. This depth of experience means I've encountered a wide range of human experiences and developed the insight and sensitivity to hold space for whatever you bring to our sessions.

Beyond my client work, I'm passionate about supporting the next generation of therapists. As a supervisor, I mentor and guide both qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists, helping them develop their skills and maintain the highest ethical standards in their practice.

Professional Involvement

I'm fully accredited with both the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), ensuring that my practice meets the highest professional standards.

Maintaining high standards in Counselling and Psychotherapy is very important to me which is why I have volunteered my time to IAHIP's Accreditation Committee the last 5 years contributing to the profession by ensuring that all newly accredited members meet our robust standards and ethical practice. As a result members of the public can rest assured that they are in safe hands with an IAHIP accredited therapist.

This commitment reflects my dedication not just to my own practice, but to the integrity of psychotherapy as a whole.

Why In-Person

The Power of In-Person Therapy

Deeper Connection

Being physically present in the same room creates a unique therapeutic container where subtle non-verbal communication and energy can be fully experienced. There's something irreplaceable about human presence—the warmth of genuine eye contact, the natural rhythm of shared silence, and the sense of being truly met by another person.

Sacred Space

Stepping into the therapy room is a conscious act of prioritising yourself. It creates a clear boundary between your everyday life and your therapeutic work, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the process without the distractions of home or work environments.

Embodied Healing

In-person sessions allow us to work with the body as well as the mind. Much of our emotional experience is held physically, and being together in person enables a fuller, more embodied approach to healing that honours all aspects of your experience.

Whilst I have a strong preference for face-to-face work, I understand that life isn't always predictable. Whether you're unwell, travelling, or facing unexpected circumstances, I'm happy to offer occasional online sessions to ensure continuity of care when you need it most.

Your Journey

What to Expect in Our Sessions

1

First Contact

When you reach out, we'll arrange a brief initial conversation—usually by phone—where you can share what's brought you to therapy and ask any questions. This helps us both determine if we're a good fit.

2

Initial Session

Our first meeting is an opportunity to get to know each other. We'll discuss what you're hoping to achieve, explore your history, and begin building the foundation of trust that makes therapy work. There's no pressure—this is your time to see if you feel comfortable.

3

Ongoing Work

Sessions typically last 50 minutes and occur weekly, apart from the occasional holidays. Each session is yours to use as you need—there's no agenda except what matters to you in that moment.

4

Review & Progress

Periodically, we'll reflect together on how the work is going and whether it's meeting your needs. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and your feedback helps ensure we're on the right path.

Taking the First Step

It's Natural to Feel Uncertain

Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting. You might wonder whether your problems are "serious enough," whether therapy will actually help, or whether you'll be able to trust someone with your most vulnerable feelings. These doubts are completely normal, and I want you to know that simply considering therapy is already an act of courage.

Making Contact

When you're ready, getting in touch is simple. You can call, email, or use the contact form below. There's no commitment at this stage—just a friendly conversation about what you're looking for and how I might be able to help. Many people find that this initial contact is much less intimidating than they expected.

Scheduling Your First Session

If we both feel it could be a good fit, we'll arrange a time for your first session at either my Navan or Clondalkin practice. I'll provide you with all the practical information you need, and you can come knowing that there's no pressure—this first meeting is as much about you getting a feel for the process as anything else.
